Anyone watching the ORACLE Racing team’s celebrations at the 33rd America’s Cup could easily have missed the unassuming figure at the back. But although Glenn Ashby wasn’t on board as James Spithill sailed into the record books, the youthful skipper acknowledged the importance of the sailing coach and multihull expert in engineering the victory, saying: “There’s no way I would have been ready to sail without Glenn’s help.
